Beginner Freediver - 3 days and a half

Explore the magical underwater realm with Pacific Freedive Academy on Gili Air. This fun and safety-focused course is open to all healthy swimmers. Become a well-rounded Wave 1/ A2 freediver, mastering pool, depth, safety, and theory. Learn safe practices, efficient techniques, and mental strategies.

Dive between 12-20m and perfect pool disciplines. Understand physics, equalization, physiology, and marine mammal similarities. Develop mental skills, buddy diving, rescue procedures, and gear knowledge for a safe and comfortable experience.

The beginner course is broken down into:

  • One intro theory session

  • One static pool session

  • One dynamic pool session

  • 3 Open Water sessions.

Molchanovs Wave 1 - Beginner Freediver

Prerequisites:

  • Swim 200m unassisted, non-stop in a pool setting.

  • Minimum Age 18 years (16 years with parent’s consent)

  • Medical form

  • No previous certification required

Course Outline:

  • 1 introduction into breathing- and relaxation technique

  • 1 pool breath hold session

  • 1 pool Dynamic session (diving horizontally)

  • 3 open water sessions

Passing Requirements:

  • 1 min 30 sec STA

  • 30m DYNB

  • CWTB & FIM 12-20m

  • CWTB Buddying 6-10m

  • Rescue from 6-10m

  • Theoretical exam

Upon Passing Requirements, Student will Recieve:
Molchanovs Wave 1 Certification

AIDA 2 Beginner Freediver

Prerequisites:

  • Swim 200m unassisted, non-stop in a pool setting.

  • Minimum Age 18 years (16 years with parent’s consent)

  • Medical form

  • No previous certification required

Course Outline:

  • 1 pool breath hold session

  • 1 pool Dynamic session (diving horizontally)

  • 3 open water sessions

Requirements:

  • 2 minutes STA

  • 40 meters DYNB

  • CWTB & FIM 12-20m

  • CWTB Buddying 5-10m

  • Rescue from 5-10m

  • Theoretical exam

Upon Passing Requirements, Student will Recieve:
AIDA A2 Certification
